When the market shifts, it is easy to assume the answer is somewhere else.
- A different sector.
- A new company.
- Another shortcut.
But did you know movement is not always progress.
Every time you jump lanes, you risk resetting the knowledge, relationships and reputation you have spent years building.
This is not an argument against adapting, or changing from a toxic situation. We must always adapt, improve and evolve.
It is an argument for staying committed to your craft, there's a difference.
Patience is active. Paitence is key!
The quieter periods are when you strengthen your database, maintain relationships, improve your systems and continue serving clients while others lose focus.
Markets move in cycles. The grass is rarely greener, and the professionals who remain disciplined through the entire cycle are usually best positioned when it moves again.
Sometimes the smartest move is not to move.
