📢 Important Changes for Property Buyers & Sellers
From 1 July 2026, real estate agents will be required to comply with new Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) laws.

As part of these legal requirements, agents must carry out customer due diligence on buyers and sellers.

This means we will be required to:
- Verify your identity
- Check whether you are a Politically Exposed Person (PEP) or listed on sanctions registers
- Ask about the purpose of your property transaction
- In some circumstances, request information about the source of your funds or wealth

These requirements are mandated under Australian law and are designed to help protect Australia's property market and financial system from money laundering, terrorism financing and other criminal activity.
