R U OK? DAY đź’›

Today, we’re taking a moment to check in with the people around us.

R U OK? Day is a reminder that a simple conversation can make a meaningful difference. Whether it’s a colleague, friend, family member or someone you haven’t spoken to in a while, asking “Are you OK?” can open the door to a conversation that matters.

In a busy industry and fast-paced workplaces, it’s easy to get caught up in deadlines, meetings and everything else on the to-do list. Sometimes, the most important thing we can do is pause and check in.

So today, ask the question. Listen without judgement. And if someone is not OK, let them know they don’t have to face it alone.

Because a conversation could change a life. đź’›

JERSEY DAY 2026 đź’™

On Friday, 4 September, the Beaumont Property Group team swapped workwear for our favourite sporting jerseys to support a cause that means so much to our organisation.
Jersey Day was about more than the jerseys we wore. It was an opportunity to start conversations and raise awareness about organ and tissue donation, and the incredible difference one decision can make to the lives of others.

This cause holds a particularly special place within Beaumont Property Group. Former director, Peter Beaumont, was tragically taken ten years ago. He was an organ donor who saved the lives of five people, and supporting organ and tissue donation was one of the last initiatives he was working on.

Taking part in Jersey Day each year is a meaningful way for us to honour Peter’s legacy and continue the conversation around organ and tissue donation.

Jersey Day was established to honour the legacy of Nathan Gremmo, who became an organ donor at just 13 years old, giving six people the opportunity for a second chance at life.

A conversation today could help save a life tomorrow.

Thank you to our team for getting behind Jersey Day, having some fun and supporting such an important cause. đź’™

In strata, one good decision can have an impact far beyond the initial outcome.

What might seem like a small or simple decision today can influence costs, maintenance, communication, resident experience and the long-term performance of a building.

See below for a few examples of how one good decision can create a ripple effect.
The strongest strata communities are not built on one big decision. They’re built on consistent, informed decisions that create better outcomes over time.

At Beaumont Strata Management, we help strata committees navigate those decisions with the right advice, experience and proactive approach.

Want to make more informed decisions for your building? Talk to the Beaumont Strata Management team today.

The calmest buildings often have the busiest teams behind them.

When a strata community is running smoothly, it can be easy to assume everything simply happens in the background.

But behind clean common areas, resolved issues and a building that feels well cared for is a constant stream of work. It’s following up on maintenance before small issues become expensive problems, coordinating contractors and repairs, managing resident concerns, keeping owners informed and staying across compliance, budgets, meetings and long-term planning.

Then there are the unexpected issues. A burst pipe, a contractor who doesn’t show up, an urgent repair or a disagreement between residents can quickly disrupt a building when no one is prepared to manage it.

The reality is, a well-managed building doesn’t mean there are never problems. It means there is a proactive team working behind the scenes to identify, communicate and resolve them before they become bigger problems for everyone.

That’s the hidden work behind a calm building.

At Beaumont Strata Management, we take care of the detail, the follow-up and the unexpected, so owners and residents can have greater confidence in their property. If your building feels calm, well maintained and under control, there’s a good chance someone is working very hard behind the scenes to keep it that way.

🔹 The psychology behind resident complaints

A complaint is rarely just about the issue. In strata, concerns around noise, parking, maintenance, by-laws or communication can quickly become emotionally charged, particularly when residents feel unheard, inconvenienced or uncertain about what happens next.

Understanding the psychology behind complaints is therefore an important part of effective strata management.

So, what’s really driving resident frustration? Our graphic below explores some of the common psychological factors sitting behind a complaint and why understanding them can change the way strata managers respond.

The data reinforces why professional complaint management matters. NSW Government records show more than 965 complaints were made about strata agents to NSW Fair Trading in the five years to 2023, with more than half relating to rules of conduct, budgets, levies and finances.

The most effective strata managers don't simply respond to complaints. They identify what is driving them, communicate clearly, manage expectations and work towards resolution before frustration escalates.

At Beaumont Strata Management, we believe great strata management is about more than administration. It’s about understanding people, navigating complexity and creating better outcomes for communities, because behind every complaint is a resident who wants to be heard.

Looking for a more proactive approach to strata management? Talk to the Beaumont team today.

A Major Legal Shift for Commercial Landlords Has Arrived. Are You Prepared?

From 1 July 2026, the legal responsibilities of commercial landlords in NSW have changed significantly.
The introduction of new amendments to the Public Health (To***co) Act 2008 (NSW) places greater accountability on landlords whose premises are used for the sale of illicit to***co or illegal va**ng products.

This is more than a compliance update, it's a significant shift in landlord risk management and one that every commercial property owner should understand.

➡️ Swipe through the carousel below to discover the key legislative changes, what they mean for commercial landlords, and the practical steps you should be taking to protect your investment.

For commercial property investors, this legislative change reinforces an important principle:
Owning a commercial asset isn't just about protecting income, it's about protecting the integrity, compliance and long-term value of your investment.

At Beaumont Property Group, we believe informed property owners make stronger investment decisions. Staying ahead of legislative change is an essential part of safeguarding your commercial portfolio.

If you'd like to understand how these changes may affect your property, lease agreements or risk management strategy, speak with our commercial property specialists today.

First impressions don't start when you walk into an office, they begin the moment you arrive at the building.

Before a client walks through the front door, an employee starts their workday or a prospective tenant inspects the property, they've already formed an opinion.

Is the entrance clean and welcoming? Are the common areas well maintained? Is the landscaping cared for? Does the building feel professional, safe and organised?
These details might seem minor on their own, but together they influence how a commercial property is perceived. They reflect the standard of care invested in the asset and can shape the experience of everyone who visits or works there.

A well-managed commercial building is not just about maintaining common property, it's about creating an environment where businesses can operate with confidence, employees enjoy coming to work and visitors leave with a positive impression.

At Beaumont Strata Management, we take a proactive approach to commercial strata management, helping owners and committees protect their assets while creating buildings that people are proud to work in. Great commercial properties are not defined solely by their location, they're remembered for the experience they deliver.
