🌧️ While some parts of Brisbane recently received up to 200mm of rain, we were blessed with just 10mm here at Possum Bush Retreat.

It may not sound like much, but that little bit of rain has brought a wonderful touch of green back to the paddocks and refreshed the land. 🌱💚

Our animals are so grateful, but with winter approaching, we are now back to hand-feeding the menagerie and will continue to do so throughout the colder months. 🐑🐐🦙🐓

🌿 From Tiny Seeds to Shared Blessings 🌿

Our little garden is still in its infancy, but already it is producing such beautiful goodness. Today’s harvest included crisp lettuce, sweet broad beans, fresh chives, and curly parsley — all grown with a little sunshine, water, and a lot of gratitude.

There is something deeply satisfying about gathering food with your own hands and even more rewarding when you can share it with others. What begins as a handful of seeds becomes nourishment for the table and a reminder of God’s faithful provision.
Every leaf and pod is a small but delicious testimony that growth takes time, and blessings are meant to be shared. 🥬🫛 🥦

Storm caught sight of her portrait on the side of the car and immediately switched into full celebrity mode.
Hair done ✔️
Blue steel stare ✔️
Tiny horse attitude ✔️
Demanding snacks from paparazzi ✔️

Honestly, she stood there like she personally commissioned the artwork and was checking whether the artist captured her “good side.” 🤣 Just Signs & Print

And can we talk about the resemblance? The flowing mane, the sass, the dramatic eyes… one’s painted, one’s fluffy, and both know they’re fabulous.

Storm may be miniature, but her ego is apparently life-sized. 💅🐎🔥

🐾 Patrol every inch like she personally supervised the overnight shift. 😅After all that very serious farm business, there’s only one thing left to do...
🛁 Hop into her favourite deluxe outdoor spa for a lovely cleansing bath and cool down.

Life on the farm is exhausting when you're this dedicated.
And she just added another farm chore to my list......clean and refill the tub for drinking water. 🙄🙄

How good’s this…

Kids from two different campsites, never met in their lives, and next minute they’re all up on the big 32-ton rock together like old mates.

Climbing and making their own fun out in the bush.

No phones in their faces. No screens. Just kids being kids.

Love this sort of stuff ❤️

When 4 cars rolled in and 5 young blokes jumped out, I’ll be honest… I made a quiet assumption 😅 You know the one…

“This could be interesting.” Well, I got that completely wrong. These boys were top-notch campers. Polite, respectful, tidy, appreciative, and left the campsite spotless.

As I wandered around to do the usual “thanks for staying with us, safe trip home, thanks for booking” goodbye chat, I came across a scene..... and there they all were…having a hit of badminton 😂

Not exactly what I’d pictured.

Sometimes young people surprise the socks off you.
