🍷 Another exciting addition to the 2forty9 family!

Our 2forty9 Estate Pinot Noir is now being poured at The Astor Grill in Hobart. ❤️

Set inside the beautiful 1920s Art Deco Astor House on Macquarie Street, The Astor Grill has a long history in Hobart’s dining scene, bringing together wonderful Tasmanian produce, great w**e and plenty of old-world charm.

Their seasonal menu has something for everyone, from small plates and Tasmanian seafood to larger plates, premium steaks and Wagyu straight from the grill, followed by desserts and a dedicated cheese selection. 🥩🧀🍷

The Astor Grill was also a 2025 Australian Good Food Guide Readers’ Choice Award winner 🏆another reason we’re so excited to have our Coal River Valley Pinot Noir on their w**e list.

🍷 Now pouring at Cugini, Bellerive! 🍷

From tonight, you can enjoy a glass (or bottle!) of our 2forty9 Estate Pinot Noir at Cugini! ❤️

Cugini (pronounced coo-gee-nee) means cousins in Italian and was born from a collaboration between the Giusti cousins back in 2012. Today, founding owner Alfonso continues the Cugini legacy from their gorgeous Bellerive Quay location overlooking Kangaroo Bay. 🇮🇹

With a menu filled with Italian favourites including antipasti, seafood, pasta, pizza, meat dishes and delicious desserts, there’s plenty to enjoy alongside a glass of Tassie Pinot. 🍝🍕🍷

Our first bud burst of the season has arrived! This tiny little bud marks the beginning of a brand-new growing season - the vines are officially waking up from their winter dormancy and the journey towards our next Pinot Noir vintage begins. 🍷🌱

We’ll let the farm managers take it from here… 🎥😂

Beautiful ocean views, delicious food and a glass of locally grown Tassie Pinot sounds like a pretty perfect combination to us. 🍷

PLEASE HELP US SHARE ELENA’S STORY ❤️

Many of our Hobart customers will know the wonderful family behind Hop Vine & Still, who have been such great supporters of small Tasmanian producers, including our little vineyard here at 2forty9.

Their beautiful daughter Elena is currently in hospital while doctors continue searching for answers to a complex and still undiagnosed medical condition.

As parents ourselves, we can only imagine what Laura and Ankit are going through right now. Between hospital visits, caring for Elena and trying to keep their business running, they have an enormous amount on their shoulders.

They have created a GoFundMe to help with Elena’s ongoing medical care and their search for answers.

If you are able to donate, every little bit will help. And if you can’t, please share Elena’s story far and wide. Reaching the right person - a specialist, doctor, radiologist, neurologist or another family who has experienced something similar - could make an enormous difference.
