Diamond H Santa Gertrudis 2025 EKKA Success 🏆

Diamond H Santa Gertrudis exhibited 3 head winning 3 ribbons and a Junior Champion heifer.

A first for Diamond H genetics in a Royal Show Ring – both Senior and Junior Champion Santa Gertrudis Bulls exhibited sired by Diamond H stud sires.

We are excited to announce a highly successful sale season for Diamond H Santa Gertrudis in 2024. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the Santa Central Sale, including the bidders and underbidders. Your support means a great deal to us, and we are incredibly grateful for the interest and participation. Our standout achievement was selling Diamond H Apollo A066 (P) for the top price of $60,000, purchased by renowned breeders Murray Smith and Susan Michell of Doorabeeba Stud, Wee Waa, NSW.

Additionally, we are excited to have introduced new sires to our breeding program, each bringing exceptional quality and pedigree:

Today’s Santa Central Multi Vendor Sale at Clifton, Qld has hit a Santa Gertrudis season high of $60,000 and an average of $12,689 across the 66 bulls bought from 85 offered with a gross taking of $837,000.

NSW Santa Gertrudis breeders, Murray Smith and Susan Michell, of Doorabeeba stud, Wee Waa, paid the top money for lot 8, Diamond H Apollo A066 (P), a Yarrabee Gunyah son offered by vendor Shane Hatton and family, Diamond H Santa Gertrudis

Stud breeders Cyril and Denise Gauld, Moongana Santa Gertrudis stud paid the second top money of $37,500 for lot 19, Kilcock Texas T129 (P), a Glenn Oaks son out of a Bullamakinka cow.

Volume buyers were Davidson Livestock, 6; and G&K Slater, Chinchilla, Wyandotte Grazing, Greenvale, and New Hope Acland Pastoral with 5 apiece.
