Perth’s property market continues to hold firm, with the latest REIWA data showing that while conditions are becoming a little more balanced, the overall market remains strong.

Listing numbers have improved in recent weeks, but total stock for sale is still below the same time last year. Perth’s median house price is now $890,000 and the median unit price sits at $635,000, which highlights the strength that still exists across the broader market.

What I’m seeing on the ground is that buyers are still there, but they’re becoming more selective in how they assess value. The urgency we saw earlier in the market has eased slightly, and today the result is less about simply being listed and more about how a property is presented, positioned and negotiated.

Strong homes are still being well rewarded, particularly when the campaign is handled properly and the strategy is designed to create genuine competition.

For anyone thinking about selling, the opportunity is still there, but the approach matters more than ever.
