We are proud to announce that Hot Property Buyers Agency has been shortlisted as a finalist in not one but three categories at the 2026 REIQ Awards for Excellence, Queensland’s premier recognition of outstanding real estate professionals and businesses.

The three nominations are:

Contribution to the Community Award: Hot Property Buyers Agency
The REIQ Awards for Excellence celebrate the highest standards of best practice, client service, and performance across Queensland’s real estate industry. We’re thrilled to be recognised across three categories in a single year, competing against some of the state’s most respected agencies and practitioners.

Its also great to see so many fellow REBAA Agents recognised at the awards.

A History at this Stage

Hot Property is no stranger to the REIQ Awards. We have been recognised as finalists in previous years, and our founder Elizabeth Wilcox is a former Buyers’ Agent of the Year winner. We carry that legacy with pride.

Being shortlisted again in 2026, and across multiple categories, is a strong validation that the work we do, day in, day out, for our clients across Brisbane’s northside and beyond is being seen and acknowledged at the industry’s highest level.

What These Nominations Mean

The Buyers’ Agent of the Year category recognises individual excellence in advocacy, results, and client outcomes. The Buyers’ Agency of the Year reflects the performance, systems, and culture of the business as a whole. The Contribution to the Community Award acknowledges the role our agency plays beyond individual transactions, in education, accessibility, and giving back to the broader community.

Three nominations across three distinct categories is not something that happens by accident. It is the result of a team that is genuinely committed to doing this work well.

What a day! 🥂

We were incredibly proud to sponsor and MC this year’s OLHC Long Lunch, bringing together such a brilliant school community for an afternoon of laughs, generosity and a little competitive bidding.

And what a result… over $42,000 raised towards the renovation of the OLHC library! 📚

A huge thank you to all of the sponsors and everyone who got involved in the auctions, lucky door prizes and fundraising throughout the day. That incredible total is a real testament to what this community can do when everyone gets behind a great cause.

We had an absolute ball hosting the day and always love the microphones in our hands 😂

Meet Maddy 👋

The other half of Hot Property.

Maddy joined Hot Property Buyers Agency in 2012 and has grown alongside the business ever since, today leading the agency as Director & Principal.

Having bought her first property at just 19, property has been a huge part of Maddy’s adult life, both personally and professionally.

But her real strength is people.

She’s the person making sure our clients feel informed, supported and confident throughout what can be one of the biggest and most emotional purchases of their lives.

Behind the scenes, she also drives much of the business, client experience and direction of Hot Property, while still being closely involved with the people we buy for every day.

Outside of Hot Property, she’s Mum to two girls, wife to Zoran, loves a good project and firmly believes property buying doesn’t need to feel overwhelming.

Hot Property started as a family business when Zoran and his mum founded the agency, long before Buyers Agents became commonplace in Brisbane.

Maddy joined the business in 2012 and today, we lead Hot Property together.

Meet Zoran 👋

Property is quite literally in his blood.

A second-generation Buyers Agent and third-generation property investor, Zoran grew up around property, investing, renovating and negotiating long before becoming a Buyers Agent himself.

Today, he’s the Co-Founder of Hot Property Buyers Agency and President of REBAA, representing home buyers and investors across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Zoran is the one you want in your corner when it comes to finding the opportunity, understanding the numbers, seeing the potential others might miss and negotiating hard when it counts.

He’s bought, renovated and invested in property himself, so the advice he gives our clients comes from real-world experience, not just theory.

Outside of property? Husband to Maddy, Dad to two girls, usually planning the next renovation, project or adventure. 😂
