Big changes are coming for sheep and goat producers in NSW. 🐑🐐
From 1 January 2027, all sheep and goats (excludes Harvested Rangeland Goat device-free pathway) must be fitted with one NLIS-approved electronic identification (eID) device before leaving any property and there's financial support to help you get ready.
The NSW Government's Sheep and Goat eID Equipment Rebate is available to help eligible producers and industry participants.

✅ Who's eligible: Sheep and goat producers and licenced stock and station agents in NSW.
✅ Why it matters: eID strengthens biosecurity, improves traceability and protects market access
