I have been in the flooring trade for 18 years, expertly trained by my father, who runs a very successful flooring business in the UK (thecarpetfitter.com). I have now been living in Melbourne for 4 years and have just been granted my Permanent Residency which has allowed me to set up this business. As well as laying all types of flooring to a very high standard, I predominantly specialise in staircase installations, ranging from the standard, simple staircase to the completely unique/bespoke, examples are shown in the photos section.

From unfinished to finished.

It’s amazing how much the right carpet can completely transform a space.

We finished this room in Godfrey Hirst Highbury Place – Dolomite, adding depth, warmth and a beautiful contrast against those crisp white walls.

A simple before and after, but what a difference.

A commercial flooring transformation with plenty of detail behind the finished result.

For this project, we combined Airlay Empire Sunrise carpet planks with 7mm Urban Oak hybrid flooring, creating a striking contrast between the warm timber tones and charcoal carpet with its subtle yellow detail.

And some of the smaller details were actually some of the most precise parts of the job.

Each SureSteel tactile indicator was individually positioned and installed with precision, alongside new stair nosings to complete the stair areas. It’s the kind of workmanship you might not notice at first glance — but there’s a lot involved in getting it right.

Carpet planks, hybrid flooring, transitions, tactile indicators and stair nosings — all brought together by the FLRS Victoria team.

What a transformation in Fitzroy!

We recently gave this communal hallway a complete refresh with this amazing hotel-style patterned carpet — and it certainly makes a statement.

Bold, funky and full of character, it has completely changed the look and feel of the space. We love seeing something a little different selected for communal areas like this.

Starting them young 🤍

A little measuring lesson with Dad today.

FLRS Victoria has always been a family business at heart, so it’s pretty special having the kids grow up seeing what goes into it — the measures, the installs, the long days and all the hard work behind the scenes.

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built so far, and even prouder that Jessie and Jenson get to be part of the journey along the way.

Although judging by this… Jessie might be taking over the measures sooner than we thought 😂

What a difference.

A before & after from one of our recent common area installations.

For this project we installed Godfrey Hirst Agility 4M in Acrobat, a patterned loop pile, solution-dyed nylon carpet designed for commercial and high-traffic environments.

The darker finish has completely changed the look of the space, while providing a practical flooring choice for a busy common area.
