Ok the statistics are in for Camino 2024…..
Path - Portuguese way with coastal path post Caminha
Walking buddy - Ashley Lopez aka daughter
Starting point - Lisbon Portugal
Finishing point - Santiago de Compostela Spain
Days waking - 30
Kms walked - 736
Hills climbed - too bloody many
Injuries - 1 Achilles, 1 shin tendon, 1 ankle tendon, 1 food poisoning, 1 dog attack, 1 bruised ego from a fall and 1 jammed finger in a door. (Ash-1,Ant-5)
Highlights - Natural scenery, stone architecture, lack of pilgrims up to Porto, Roman roads still in tact
Shocks - 6 days of rain, cost of a beer in Porto, that some pilgrims snore louder and more intensely than me.
We are still live on the trail so if you would like to support our chosen charity please donate via the GFM link below. Every step of the way we will be trying to raise money to aid the Australian Pituitary Foundation in further research.
