Seriously incredible evening in Wellington tonight as Wellington Arts Centre Inc created a special experience celebrating food, art, music & community.

Community spirit in spades & smiles, giggles and lots of happy country kids agog as the Chinese dragon weaved its way down Fong Lees Lane. A nod to our diverse history, and the hard working folks that built what we now enjoy.

Thank you to all involved. Very special evening.

Turning the page on the old car yard site in Geurie! 🚜✨

After three years of steady work behind the scenes, our development application and Statement of Environmental Effects to transform the former car yard into new village shops is just about ready to lodge with Dubbo Regional Council.

Putting together a comprehensive DA (complete with specialized plans, supporting reports, and technical input) is certainly no small feat.

A huge thank you to our incredible team of surveyors and planners, and to the duty planners at Dubbo Regional Council for their patience and guidance as we navigated the paperwork.

We believe deeply in breathing new life into older spaces to support the growth of Geurie and our surrounding rural district.

Transparency is a core value for us through this process.

CAR YARD UPDATE 📣

After advertising to lease the car yard in Geurie, we are delighted to see long-term plans, dreams, and hard work strive toward the next stage.

We’re transforming a space that has long been a local car yard to add more village shops.

This enhances the amenity of living in and around Geurie and building on the existing commerce that attracts locals and visitors alike.

Last night, we had the pleasure of introducing two new faces to Sunny at the Geurie Pit Stop Garage & petrol station, as well as Mikayla at the Mitchell Inn.

We also bumped into neighbours and caught up with locals walking past.

We all shared the same feeling: Geurie is growing and becoming busier!

We look forward to sharing more details on the next chapter for the car yard once Council processes are finalised.

Exciting times ahead.

An enormous thanks to Mr. Noel Geer, who has sold cars at the yard for many years.

Working with him through this process has been a true blessing, and we feel lucky to have crossed paths.
