When there’s no set price and buyers are asked to submit an EOI, things can get tricky.

Nobody wants to overpay, but how do you know if your offer is too low and risks being overlooked?

Your EOI is about more than just the number. The terms you offer, your willingness to move quickly and your ability to sign and settle can all influence how seriously your offer is considered.

In the current market, with many buyers submitting offers subject to the sale of their existing property, the way you structure and present your offer matters.

Before submitting, know what the property is actually worth based on comparable sales, understand what matters to the seller beyond price, and have a clear walk-away figure in mind.

Make sure your EOI is complete and professional, follow up with the agent to confirm it’s been received, and have your finance ready so you can move quickly if your offer is accepted.
