Proud to support Angus Youth Australia once again, this year with the Jason Siddell Memorial Trophy for the Grand Champion Meat Judge 🥩

It was great to see the evolution of meat judging into the main programme at this year’s Roundup with a focus on education as well as judging.

At the end of the day we as stud breeders are aiming to produce articles for our clients that will ultimately go on to breed or produce the beef we eat at our table 🍽️

Jason was very passionate about the beef industry and it’s a privilege to be able to honour his memory through this award.

Congratulations to Jazmin and all the place-getters!

✨ 2026 Angus Youth Roundup ✨

What a way to kick-start the New Year! Four big days - workshops, parading cattle and learning about the Angus Breed 🐂🔥

Legacy Angus was proud to return with our two heifers from last year with their first calves at foot! We also took two steers freshly broken in by Chloe Looker with assistance from .bailey2201 who joined our team this year.

We were stoked to be able to lend our steers to two outstanding young participants — .brooks01 from the Northern Territory 🌵and from Tasmania 🌊 These two girls were incredible and we were so lucky to have them as a part of our team!

I was so proud to witness the dedication, attitude, and stockmanship of these four young ladies who are a credit to themselves, their families, and an absolute asset to the Angus breed. They should be more than proud of themselves. The future of the cattle industry is strong in their hands 💪🏼

🚨 CALF WATCH UPDATE 🚨
We’ve had a double dose of bull power hit the ground! 💥🐂
The first lad arrived back in August, right before the snow hit — talk about timing! ❄️ He wasn’t mucking around. And this morning, his little brother rocked up fresh and ready to take on the world (or at least the paddock).
Both boys are by our show bull Fig Tree Park Exclusive U109 — a son of Musgrave Exclusive — so let’s just say the genetics are stacking up like hay bales in a good season. 🌾📦
Out of our top show heifers, and already showing signs they’ll follow in the hoofprints of their old man.
Reckon these calves might just turn a few heads down the track. Stay tuned — they’re only just getting started. 👀💪
