The living space opens straight onto the balcony, the coastline sits beyond it. As the day fades the interior holds warmth, and the room adjusts.

This is the process behind the pour at Calibre, Cabarita Beach.

The pour starts long before the concrete arrives. Reinforcement tied by hand, formwork checked, and then checked again. By the time the trucks roll in, every decision has already been made and the day simply runs to plan.

This part is rarely seen, and determines the quality of everything above it.
