🏡 IS THE PROPERTY MARKET REALLY DROPPING? LET’S LOOK BEYOND THE HEADLINES.

If you've been following the media lately, you'd be forgiven for thinking the property market is suddenly heading backwards.

But here's the thing…

The national headlines aren't necessarily telling the story we're seeing here in our regional market.

Yes, national home prices eased 0.2% in August.

But let's put that into perspective.

📊 National prices are still 1.8% HIGHER than this time last year.

And when we step away from the capital cities and look at regional Australia, the picture becomes even more interesting:

🏡 Regional prices were UNCHANGED in August
📈 Regional property prices are 6.6% HIGHER year-on-year
🔥 And they're sitting just 0.5% below their peak

Meanwhile, the combined capital cities recorded a 0.3% decline for August.

So is the market changing? Absolutely.

But is regional property suddenly falling off a cliff?

The data simply doesn't support that.

And from what we're seeing on the ground, good regional properties are still attracting buyers.

The market is becoming more considered. Buyers are doing their homework. Correct pricing, presentation and marketing matter more than ever — but regional property continues to show remarkable resilience.

This is exactly why property owners need to be careful about making decisions based purely on national headlines.

Sydney isn't the Lockyer Valley.
Melbourne isn't Gatton.
And a national statistic isn't a local property appraisal.
