Matilda has had a very big week here at SS from
Mountain ⛰️ rides, to walking through the creeks , following the cows around , learning to come down in her transitions and not jam the hand break on, accepting inclines n declines without rushing , picking up her canter lead without a rushed trot she has learnt to push up into a lope from my leg n seat que’s in a respectful manner and just all round confidence building for positive outcomes

Today she worked super hard walking through scary reeds, mud and water she couldn’t see , had a bubble bath and is now ready to head home tomorrow

Matilda had her first session today… We took her as if it was going to go south so alittle rough riding to begin with in
… kept her feet moving forward, giving her no time to think of anything but move when asked n then we took on the mountain, crossed some creeks and seen the cows

This little mare has spent the week hear learning some simple but valuable drills
Keeping her hip up under , rate when I shift my body weight and just keeping flexed, soft n relaxed through her turns

I think for only a few rides she’s picked it up quite well…

This little lady heads home tonight 💕
