Warm, organic, and intentionally grounded.

In this space, we moved away from clinical whites and leaned into a palette of earthy terracotta, warm timber cabinetry, and natural stone. The curved island, clad in vertical tiles, creates a soft flow through the open-plan living area, while the leather-woven stools add another layer of craftsmanship.

Instead of a traditional tile or stone back, we’ve framed the garden, turning the lush greenery into a living piece of art that changes with the light of the day.

The "Japandi" design—the perfect marriage of Japanese minimalism and Scandinavian functionality. Despite the compact footprint, we used high-level clerestory windows to flood the living area with northern light, making the space feel incredibly airy and open.

The real star here is the timber battening. It provides essential privacy from the main house while creating a beautiful, rhythmic "lantern" effect once the sun goes down. It’s not just a granny flat; it’s a self-contained sanctuary that proves you don't need a massive lot to create a world-class living space.
