I was heading out last night when a full moon rising over my little weatherboard cottage stopped me in my tracks.

Of course, I had to take a few photos. Every month we're graced with a full moon, yet it never feels ordinary.

There's something about a quiet country night and a full moon that brings you back to the moment... a reminder to pause and look up.

A slow fresh winters morning...a little walk around the front garden of the cottage. When I took a good look I realised there were more patches of colour. The patches of violets, a grand display from the Japonica, one cheeky rose, the correa dusky bells finally in flower, and if course nothing like wattle flowers to brighten up a winters day.
My surprise was the two terracotta pots I had placed under the japonica after flowering last year. I purchased them last year from Bunnings for instant colour. To my surprise I noticed the hyacinths and minature daffodils making an appearance.
Who else is patiently waiting for the spring bulbs to flower and how is your winter garden looking ?
