We love seeing young people explore careers in construction πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈβœ¨β€‹

A group of 18 to 25-year-olds interested in construction got a first-hand look at the 286 new homes we’re building in Holland Court, Flemington πŸ‘β€‹

Everyone got to roll up their sleeves and build their own planter boxes with help from Empowering Women in Trade (EWIT).

Big thanks to The Huddle, ICON, EWIT, and Ubuntu for helping young people discover new roles and pathways this industry offers.

Hundreds more homes are coming to regional Victoria! 🏠

From affordable worker accommodation to private builds, the Victorian Government is supporting regional housing needs and helping more people choose where they want to live.

Homes Victoria is delivering close to 400 new, comfortable and energy-efficient social and affordable homes across Wodonga, Benalla, Ballarat and Bendigo through the Big Housing Build to enable more people to make a home in our regional cities.

We’re also further strengthening our regional workforce through dozens of projects supported by our Regional Worker Accommodation Fund, which is designed to attract and retain workers where they are most needed.

This has included transforming an empty cul-de-sac in Irymple into a suite of new worker accommodation to support essential workers.

These initiatives are helping bolster local economies across the state, with more affordable housing options for families and workers.

It’s all about making regional Victoria a better place to live, work, stay, experience, invest and study.

Big changes at Elgin Towers, Carlton πŸ‘€β€‹

Swipe to see the before and after β€” the red brick towers (built in the 60s) are now gone, making way for something new.

In their place, 248 modern, accessible and energy-efficient homes are on the way. That's a 26% increase in social housing!

We are creating better public housing, right in the heart of Carlton β€” close to everything people need.
