From 1 October, Victoria's new auction reforms will require a property's reserve price to be published at least 7 days before auction.

For buyers, this means they'll know the seller's reserve before auction day, allowing them to better assess whether a property fits their budget and decide where to focus their time and resources.

As with any legislative change, buyers and sellers will need to adjust to a new way of navigating the auction process.
