FULL STEAM AHEAD! Go behind the scenes at the preseved Mount Barker Railway Station and discover what it takes to keep the world’s longest heritage railway running.

2026 SteamRanger Heritage Railway Railfest is on Sunday 24th May from 9:30am - 4:30pm. Explore restoration projects, see steam engines up close, browse the memorabilia market, and enjoy food and drink stalls.

Depot Entry: $10 Adults + $5 Kids – all proceeds support the restoration of their heritage fleet.

Plus, don’t miss a ride on the steam train running to Bugle Ranges and back.

Train departures: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3.30pm.
