Congratulations to Mandy and Brooke Stone, new owners of a commercial property at 94 Smith St and the business partners behind ‘The Soulfire Co.’
When asked about the new adventure , Brooke said:
“The Soulfire Co is a small, family-run retail store created by mum-and-daughter duo Mandy and Brooke Stone. It’s a space built around creativity, connection and meaningful pieces, somewhere people can come to find beautiful items, thoughtful gifts and crystals that feel special and personal.
It (buying the building) was definitely a big decision, but it felt like the right step at the right time. We’d already been creating handmade products and attending markets for the past 9+ years and loved being part of the creative small-business community, so the opportunity to move into a physical store felt very exciting. We saw it as a chance to grow something together, share what we love with the community, and create a space that reflects our style and values. It was a leap, but one we’re really glad we took.
Naracoorte has such a strong sense of community, and that’s one of the best parts of opening a store here. People genuinely support local businesses, and there’s something really special about getting to know customers by name and being part of their everyday lives. There’s also a wonderful network of other local businesses who encourage each other and celebrate each other’s successes.
Starting something new can feel scary, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. If you have a passion or creative idea you believe in, sometimes taking that first step is the hardest part. Small businesses bring so much personality and life into a town, and they help create spaces where people can connect and feel inspired. We’d definitely encourage others who have an idea in their heart to explore it, you never know where it might lead!”
