Welcome Renee to Girls Time Out who joined us after completing the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Prosperous Pathways program earlier this month. Diana, the program coordinator was impressed with Renee from day one and says it was the longest interview ever as she observed Renee during the six-week program. Upon completion of the program Renee was asked if she'd like to attend an interview for the Prosperous Pathways program Mentor position....she was offered the job and started the following week.

Tricia from AKG Australia, Berserker referred Renee to the program and got a nice surprise at the program Graduation where she learnt Renee was employed.

Happy Mother's Day to the lovely Aunty's from the Bidgerdii Social Group. Nicole, Tewana and Renee organised a morning tea as part of their Skilling Queenslanders for Work Prosperous Pathways program where they had to plan the menu, budget, set up the R, C, L, M Hall, Poinciana Street, prepare the food, meet and greet guests, serve hot food, speak in public, give out prizes and clean up.

OH WHAT AN EVENT!!!!! These three ladies truly excelled with their customer service and hospitality skills while representing Girls Time Out brilliantly. We are all so proud.

Thank you Esmae Somerset for making the button flower brooches the Aunty's received plus the button flowers in cases. Your group's effort was truly appreciated.

Mock interviews for positions at the Heritage Village, Drakes and for a Teacher Aide placement to coincide with a Certificate III School Based Education Support. Esther and Mandy from Girls Time Out stepped into the interviewer roles and provided positive feedback saying all the ladies "got the job". This was a perfect activity for the ladies as they have come to the end of the Skilling Queenslanders for Work program and will be participating in interviews shortly.

This program is funded by the Queensland Government.
