🌾 A huge thank you to South Coastal Agencies (Salmon Gums) for going above and beyond to support the Salmon Gums 100 Year Anniversary celebrations!
Not only did they donate the venue for our historic display, they cleaned it out, brought in pinboards and display cases, and helped folks set up their treasured pieces of history with care and enthusiasm.
They also let us use their internet (cheers for that!), hosted the grain competition, rolled out the forklift to move gear around, and even provided space for a bit of quick ironing — all with cheerful hearts and endless generosity.
Thanks to Irwin and Shannon — absolute legends who gave their time, energy, and smiles to make it all happen 💛

🌟 Commemorative Pavers 🌟
Orders for commemorative pavers, honouring the people and families who helped shape our part of the mallee, will be open for another month or so.
These pavers will be permanently installed in Arthur Guest Memorial Park as a lasting tribute to Salmon Gum’s centenary and the generations who called - and still call - the district home.
📷 Images show the two paver options available, and the number of lines and characters per line so you can plan your wording.

✨ What a weekend! The Salmon Gums 100 Year Anniversary brought people together from near and far, and it was wonderful to see everyone catching up, sharing stories, and celebrating our incredible community 💛

The weekend’s over but you haven’t heard the last of 100 years of Salmon Gums yet! Here's what's coming up:
📸 We were lucky enough to have amazing local photographer Dan Paris capturing the weekend - keep an eye out for his stunning photos in the coming weeks. A selection will be available for purchase for those wanting a keepsake of the celebrations.
👕 Our 'Salmon Gums 100 Years On Still Going Strong' shirts and merchandise were a hit! We’ll be contacting everyone who pre-ordered shirts once the transfers are complete, and will also have information on how to purchase these shirts, mugs, stubby holders, magnets and stickers out soon. There's a limited amount left, so jump in while they're still available.
🧱 Pavers for the Arthur Guest Memorial Park and commemorating local families, will still be open for orders for a little while longer — stay tuned for updates.
🏛️ Funds raised from merchandise, pavers, and Esperance Distillery Co's commemorative gin will go towards a permanent historic display, centred around the beautifully restored Roads Board building and the Arthur Guest Memorial Park.
🍸 Talking of gin, last we checked there were only 6 of this fantastic limited edition of 100 bottles left! If you were tossing up whether to grab one, get your skates on - https://esperancedistilleryco.com/products/pre-sale-salmon-gums-fundraiser-100-year-gin-limited-release-100-bottles.
🙏 So many sponsors helped us achieve the wonderful celebrations, and we’ll be putting up more thank you posts and acknowledgements of their contributions soon.
📜 If your memorabilia or family history write-ups are still on display in the Nutrien building, they’re ready to be picked up during business hours. Let us know if you need help collecting them.
We’ll be talking to you soon - and we’re not done celebrating 100 years of Salmon Gums just yet!🌾
