One of the things I love most about Partial Styling is that it allows us to work with the story that already exists within a home.

One of the most common questions I receive is:
“Where do we even begin when it’s time to prepare a parent’s home for sale?”

This beautiful Mid-Century Modern home in Beaumaris was designed by architect Ted Karasinski in 1966 and lovingly cared for by the same family for almost 60 years.

When I became involved, the adult children were preparing the property for sale on behalf of their late mother. Like many families in this situation, they were navigating not only the practical decisions, but also the memories attached to a much-loved family home.
One of the first things I explain is that preparing a home for sale doesn’t necessarily mean renovating everything or replacing everything.
It starts with understanding:
• What furniture still suits the home
• What can be removed to create more space
• How buyers will experience each room
• Where styling can complement the home’s existing character
• How to create warmth and flow throughout the property

For this home, we retained pieces that worked beautifully within the Mid-Century architecture and introduced a partial styling package to enhance key spaces and help buyers connect emotionally with the home.
Importantly, this property didn’t require a renovation.
It simply required thoughtful preparation, presentation and a clear strategy.
The result was strong buyer interest, a successful campaign and an excellent outcome for the family.

A little piece of my story...

When I moved from Rarotonga, Cook Islands, to Victoria in 1991, I never imagined how much Melbourne would come to feel like home.

Over the years I built a life here surrounded by family, friendships, community and traditions that have stayed with me through every season of life.

One of those traditions has been supporting

For our family, it's never really been about football. It's been about shared experiences, lifelong friendships, belonging, and creating memories together.

Last week after watching Carlton win with Neil, I found myself reflecting on just how many years we've spent cheering from the stands, celebrating the highs, enduring the lows and sharing these moments together.

Building Haus Style™ has been one of the great passions of this chapter of my life, but building a life in Melbourne, raising our boys and creating lasting connections has been the greatest gift of all.
