Watching my parents build a life from nothing in a new country taught me the importance of hard work and determination. Having owned a restaurant overseas, my dad brought his talent with him when he came to Australia. When he arrived, he worked in hospitality and eventually opened a restaurant. He loved his customers, and some of my earliest memories are of me going to work with him and watching him connect with people. Like him, I'm a people person—I love to connect and I'm eager to hear others' stories. As the eldest of three, I had to learn responsibility early on. My dad would often say, "Whatever you want, you have to work for it." Seeing what my parents sacrificed to build a better future, I often thought, "If they can create a life from scratch, I have no excuse not to chase my dreams with the same intensity." As the oldest, I felt a duty to lead by example for my younger siblings, showing them what perseverance looks like. I started working young, following my dad's advice. This experience shaped how I approach leadership in my career today. I rely on the lessons my parents taught me. I hold myself accountable, work efficiently towards my goals, and stay focused, even when challenges arise. These values have guided me through both personal and professional growth.
