Last week, I had the great pleasure of attending the Common Earth Conference in London hosted by The Commonwealth. At the behest of Baroness Patricia Scotland, Secretary-General of The Commonwealth, I was joined by a delegation of world-leading scientists and regenerative development experts exploring pathways to reverse global warming by leveraging the 53 Member States of The Commonwealth, who collectively represent 2.4 billion people across our planet.

It was an incredible honour to attend this convening and see the life's work of many of my long-time friends and collaborators (Stuart Cowan, Ben Haggard) be embraced by high-ranking government officials throughout the world and to be inspired by new friends and changemakers (Daniel Christian Wahl, Kate Raworth, Christopher Nesbitt and many others). It was even more of an honour to have shared this experience with First Nations friends from across the globe and whose Traditional Knowledge and Ecological Practices are at the very centre of the solutions we are proposing to tackle climate change.

A huge thank you to the incredible team at the Cloudburst Foundation and Common Earth, especially Rola Khoury and Freya Yost for their tireless efforts in shaping this incredible initiative and facilitating a fantastic 2-days of meaningful, action-oriented dialogue and to The Commonwealth for their bold vision in leading us towards a regenerative and resilient future.
