T H A N K Y O U - That’s a wrap for Community Dinner Kits 2024! Another successful year of gifting holiday meals to 200 families in community with & all the folks who made it happen.
Here’s the breakdown:
• We needed to fundraise $10,000 for us to be able to make it all happen, so so grateful for folks who have shared this annual effort and who donated funds. In 17 days we were able to reach our goal!
• We needed to collect 200 banana boxes and have them wrapped before packing day - we had over 40 volunteers who made all this happen and for the first time ever, we got it all done before packing day! Shoutout to & for being box captains! 🙌🏽 For .0909 for collecting SO MANY boxes!
•We needed to shop for the ingredients to put inside the kits: Thank you to our volunteer shoppers - I mean shopping in bulk is no easy feat! .wetzel .mcneely
• We needed to pack all the boxes - another 40 or so volunteers showed up and got it done!
• How do we transport 200 turkeys, you may wonder? Jeff, hubs has, for over two years now, picked up and delivered 2 pallets of frozen turkeys for us. Thank you!
•What’s a holiday dinner without pie? Grateful for who sponsors our pies each year!!
•We needed these kits to be delivered to the different schools all over Tacoma - 20 or so helpers and volunteer drivers have spent their morning with us to get it done!
• We needed a space to hold all of us - thankful for .fit 🙏🏽
• Capturing the togetherness, smiles & teamwork - Grateful for &
How did we make it all happen? Aside from exceptional organizational skillz - this effort centers on Community. Abodies, Family, Friends, Clients, Industry Partners, Small Businesses, Tacomans.
We couldn’t have done it without all of you.
