We are located in the Somerset Region, free ranging our favourite heritage breed chickens on 30 acres to produce beautiful coloured eggs & happy healthy chicks

🐥TIPS FOR YOUR NEW CHICKENS🐥

We are headed to the Grandchester poultry market this sunday, the 30th of August! We want the very best for your new feathered friends, so here's a few things to keep in mind. 🥰

It's going to be a big day for our chooks, and as comfortable as we try to make it for them, it's going to be stressful. Once you get your new chickens home, we suggest a quiet, calm environment for a few days to allow them to recover and settle in. We always suggest quarantining any new arrivals, as even with the healthiest chickens, new environments bring new pathogens, which can cause stressed birds to become ill.

All our chickens will be given prebiotics, probiotics, and liquid nutrients before the day, as well as electrolytes on the day, but we would suggest continuing for a couple of days to prevent any issues.

Our chickens are fed a combination of quality pellets and fermented feed to boost their immunity and health. We want to ensure our girls are healthy and happy before leaving for their new homes 💚

Hello everyone 👋

We have been very busy getting ready for the upcoming Grandchester poultry, garden & produce market at the Rosewood showgrounds this Sunday, the 30th of August. We will have laying hens and a range of pullets available. We are not taking any holds before the market. It will be first come, first serve on the day. Please remember to bring cash and a box/carrier for your new feathered friends. 🐓 Some of our breeds include; cream legbar, speckled sussex, wyandotte, silkie, orpington, brahma, australorp, aracauna, lavender sussex, hamburg, plymouth rock and some very fun easter eggers. We can't wait to see you there this sunday from 9am! 🐥💚🐥💚
