Some milestones deserve more than just a small caption. Here are a few words from our Managing Director, Chris Stewart, on what this milestone means to him.
Today we’re celebrating a very special milestone for our business and one that makes me incredibly proud 24 years of Shane Kennett at LJ Ho**er Commercial Toowoomba and South West QLD.
For those keeping count, that’s 24 years of deals done, 24 years of handshakes that actually mean something, and by my rough maths somewhere north of 1,200 cakes bought for this office. Shane, if you’re reading this, we’re not asking you to stop.
Shane has been our long-term sales agent and General Manager of Commercial Sales and Leasing, and there aren’t many people in this business who know it the way he does. He’s old school in the best possible way. He treats people properly, he shows up for the people he cares about, and he’s never once turned down a brew or a red at the end of a long week.
On a personal note, Shane has been in my life since I was five years old. He’s been more like a grandfather to me than a colleague, and I know plenty of you have found the same thing in your own way. He’s taken on the role of office grandparent with real pride, and this place is warmer for it.
We’ll be marking the occasion with Morning Tea in the next couple of weeks, and Shane, we will bring the cakes this time.
