What does life after downsizing look like?

For Vicki, moving from her family's farming property to Lincoln Lifestyle Mudgee Spring has opened the door to new hobbies and connections, all with her dog by her side. 🐾

We caught up with her at our recent Display Launch and Clubhouse Hard Hat Tour to hear how she’s settled in and what the move has meant to her.

With the new clubhouse nearing completion, there’s even more to look forward to, from a dip in the pool and quiet mornings in the library to community events with neighbours.

A heartfelt tribute to David’s service 🇦🇺

Last month, residents and friends gathered at the sports pavilion at Lincoln Lifestyle Mudgee Spring alongside representatives from Mudgee Legacy for a special presentation honouring veteran and resident David Nelson.

David served in Vietnam in 1971 as a Private with the 4th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (4RAR). In recognition of his service and sacrifice, his neighbours and fellow residents, Pam and Chris Bellhouse, who are also NSW representatives for Quilts of Valour Australia, presented him with a beautiful quilt made by the Warragul Quilters of Victoria.

David shared reflections on his service and his gratitude for the quilt, before everyone enjoyed refreshments together.

Thank you to Pam and Chris, Quilts of Valour Australia, the Warragul Quilters, Mudgee Legacy and everyone who helped make this a memorable occasion. And thank you, David, for your service.

Tomorrow is the International Day of Older Persons. It’s a chance to celebrate the experiences, achievements and contributions of older people, and to remember that trying something new has no age limit.

At Lincoln Place, Living Life Well means having opportunities to stay active, connect with others and do more of what you enjoy. Tomorrow, residents can join our wellness partner Wini Health for a webinar introducing Standing Strong for Better Balance, a new 12-week program designed to build strength, balance and confidence. Because good balance comes in handy well beyond the yoga mat.

A new feature has landed on the Lincoln Lifestyle App: Marketplace.

It's a simple way for residents to buy, sell or give away items within their own community, whether decluttering or on the hunt for something useful. Spare pot plants, a bookshelf you no longer need, garden tools sitting idle... if it's worth passing on, it's worth listing.

Marketplace makes it easy to connect with neighbours close to home, all within the Lincoln Lifestyle app residents already know and love. And who knows, you might just meet a new neighbour along the way.

Once complete, the clubhouse will feature dining areas, a community kitchen and bar, a threatrette and gym, to complement the existing wellness facilities which include pickleball courts and a bowls green.
