A LITTLE MONDAY MAINTENANCE… AND A REMINDER THAT MURPHY IS ALWAYS WATCHING 😂
Not every Monday has to involve crawling around under a house or wrestling a sheet of fibro.
Today was a nice little indoor job — warm, dry, out of the weather and working at a comfortable height. Basically the winter maintenance equivalent of a spa day 😂
We removed some old, mouldy silicone from around a wet area, cleaned everything up properly and resealed it with sanitary, mould-resistant silicone.
In wet areas, silicone isn't just there to seal and make things look pretty. Once moisture gets behind deteriorated or mouldy sealant, you've got a perfect little environment for mould and moisture damage to start doing its thing. A good quality sanitary silicone is designed for these areas and contains mould-resistant properties to help keep the seal looking cleaner for longer.
Then came a broken door k**b. Quick replacement, job done.
Except…
We had a job out at Mogumber last week where we had the wrong latch...
Yep.
The replacement k**b I fitted today had the exact bloody latch I needed. 😂
So somewhere between Mogumber, Bunnings, locksmiths and a few hundred kilometres of unnecessary sightseeing, Murphy was sitting there quietly holding the correct latch thinking:
"Don't worry mate… you'll find me eventually."
😂🤦♂️
Another Monday ticked off for Lagoon Property Services — a bit of maintenance, a bit of problem solving, and apparently a small donation to the fuel industry.
Need those annoying little jobs sorted before they become big ones? Give us a shout.
