People weren’t sure enough to invest in a flying car... but this week, Elon Musk gave them a reason to reconsider.
For years, “flying cars” were the punchline of every tech promise that never landed - even Musk admitted, “we don’t have flying cars.”
On October 15, at SpaceX’s Texas test site, that changed. Tesla’s next-gen Roadster drove up a ramp, flipped mid-air, and landed - lifted by SpaceX cold-gas thrusters. It also hit 0–60 in 0.81 seconds, a number no production car has touched.
The age of science fiction is ending. The age of flight-ready transportation is beginning.
