Construction starts on HAVI's new distribution center at WDP Park Deva!

This marks the next phase of our partnership with HAVI Romania. Since 2024, we've grown their operation from a 20,795 m² warehouse in Bucharest to now building a brand new 5,924 m² facility in Deva.
The new warehouse combines ambient and cold storage with anti-seismic shelving, heat recovery, solar panels, and zero gas emissions- built for safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

We're proud HAVI chose to deepen this partnership with us. 💪

At our Heppignies site, right next to the runway at Brussels South Charleroi Airport, we’re building an 𝟴.𝟱 𝗠𝗪𝗽 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 with 𝗻𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝟭𝟮,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹𝘀. A major milestone in making logistics real estate more sustainable across Europe.

Installing solar near an airport requires extra care. A 𝗚𝗟𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘆 confirmed how crucial it is to limit sunlight reflection for pilot safety so we designed for it from day one:

🔹𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 to minimize glare
🔹𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶-𝗿𝗲𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 on 40% of panels (~5,000), developed by Phytonics (German spin-off), reducing reflection while keeping performance high

One of the first large-scale reference projects in Europe to use this technology and a 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁. With the new grid connection, the renewable energy produced here supports WDP and our clients in 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻.

WDP’s HSES team is rolling out “𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗹”, an international campaign that turns safety into clear, practical actions, no long theories, just what people need to work safely. One key project is “𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗳”, focused on reducing working-at-height risks across our portfolio.

Our approach is simple and structured:
1. Assess roof risks via a Risk Inventory & Evaluation (RIE) / roof safety scan
2. Define a site-specific improvement plan
3. Implement urgent improvements first
4. Train & instruct through our “Safety on the roof” toolbox and mandatory contractor instruction video (6 languages), created with DENKie

We work with specialized partners across Europe: SAFE (FR), ETS (RO), Worksafe Nederland (NL), Eurosafe (DE) & Cofapro (BE/LU).
