Every day, in any weather this old woman spends hours sitting just on the ground near Balchik city center or on the steps of the city's post office. Always alone, always in silence, always without any piece of food. She is obviously ill, she barely walks, and she can't answer what is her name and where does she live.
But she can tell that all her life she worked as a waitress - and now she barely moves her legs using two canes for walk very slowly, step by step, she never knows where.
Some neighbours know her, as the local police as well, and all say she has got a mental illness and it's impossible to help her.
But does this mean that a person like her should practically live on the street - right next to the building of the Balchik Community - and not receive any help? Is there really no social service in Bulgaria to care for such people?
