Happiness for kids is so simple 🤗

I knew she was good at monkey bars but yesterday she really surprised me with this one 😏😌 she is really persistent but only when she feels like it! 🤣

Yesterday one of the moms told me “you’re lucky you set your own schedule” and I replied “that’s a myth; I’m busy all the time” but right after I said that I thought to myself ‘yes maybe real estate has me work late nights and weekends but then it also lets me take my daughter to the playground or the pool in the middle of the day’ so I guess that’s a win 😅

I am grateful for these precious moments that I’m able to spend with 🥰

Highlight of the weekend: visiting Maxwell residence senior home ☺️
Yesterday, our two children’s classes visited the seniors at the Maxwell residence and shared with them some of the things they have been learning during the year. The children offered the residents flowers upon arriving, then sang some of the prayers they had memorized, talked about some of the virtues they had learned and in the end showed them their artwork and played tic-tac-toe with them. It was a lovely afternoon, we made some very good friends and are hoping to go back to visit them again soon.

This was the second time our children visited a senior residence and they were overjoyed by the experience. In a world where kids are bombarded with conflicting values, it’s important to teach them some core values from a very young age. Values and virtues such as truthfulness, courage, patience, humility, generosity, respectfulness, service to others and kindness. Yesterday was about bringing joy to other people’s lives and what’s interesting is that the children were the ones that were the happiest ☺️ so rewarding to shift the focus from ourselves to others 🥰

The best part of my Mother’s Day this year? Giving out roses to the mothers in our neighborhood with 🥰💕🌹🫶🏼

The smiles, the shine in people’s eyes and the immense appreciation for a simple gesture are unforgettable 🥹 and my Melody was so into it that by the end of it, she was upset we didn’t have more to give ☺️
