I can't get close enough to get a good picture of these birds, so I borrowed this one. For the first time in our long history here, these Surf Scoters are on Takysie Lake! We have noticed a change in our waterbirds this year! The grebes came late and are nesting in very different areas and the cormorants are staying longer. We also have a pair of Mergansers...which come every year, but never stay this long. Times...they are a changin'!
