A website can have a LOT of information and still leave people unsure what to do next. 👀

For this Community Giveback Mini Audit, I reviewed Canadian Promo Company and focused on three big opportunities:

✨ Make branded merchandise + promotional products the clear focus
✨ Replace generic AI imagery with real products and client work
✨ Simplify the path from browsing to requesting a quote

The biggest takeaway? Their homepage needs to work more like a highlight reel —> clearly showing what they offer, who they serve, where they work, and why someone should choose them over ordering directly from a supplier.

Sometimes the fix isn’t “add more.”
It’s clarify, simplify, and make the next step easier.

Your brand colours should be beautiful AND accessible.
One thing I consider when building a brand (and especially when that brand moves onto a website) is colour contrast.

Those softer tones you love? Keep them! Just add a strong dark neutral. The issue isn’t the colour itself, it’s how and where you use it.

Text, buttons, navigation and other important information need enough contrast to be easy to read and interact with.

And thankfully, you don’t have to guess if it’s working. 😆

The free WebAIM Contrast Checker lets you enter your text + background colours and quickly see how they measure up against accessibility guidelines.

It’s a tiny check that can make a big difference in how people experience your brand.

One of the greatest joys of my work isn’t launching a new brand or website.

It’s watching what happens after.

🧘‍♀️ Reka Retreats – Hosting sold-out retreats across Costa Rica, Colombia, Nicaragua, Tofino, and beyond while continuing to build an inspiring community through their website, social media, and email marketing.
