🏠 Home Inspection Day: Don’t Skip It!

One of the biggest mistakes buyers make is treating the home inspection like a formality.

With all the recent rain we’ve had, I’ve seen firsthand how water can find its way into basements, around foundations, and through aging roofs. What looks like a small issue today can turn into a major expense tomorrow.

My advice? Attend the inspection, especially the review at the end.

That’s when the inspector walks you through the property, shows you what matters, explains what’s normal maintenance versus a serious concern, and gives you the chance to ask questions.

Sometimes it’s not about walking away from a home. It’s about negotiating smartly. I’ve helped buyers negotiate things like:
