So that is a wrap! Our last adventure took us to Naples, Sorrento and Positano which forms part of the Amalfi coast. Our driver took us on a private tour of the area. The drive was crazy and felt like something out of a James Bond movie. The entirety of Positano is built on the side of cliffs - truly incredible and stunning. Sorrento was gorgeous and we had the best pizza we have ever had at a place called Frankies.
We just arrived home and since it is 4:30 am and i cannot sleep thanks to jetlag i thought i would share.

Day 9 in Mykonos Greece is in the books. What a beautiful little town. Little shops are found down winding narrow roads. Everything is just minature here. Very friendly people here who take pride in what they have - as they should. We had more tzatziki with pita and a gyro poutine for lunch. It was yummy.
The water is crystal clear and it is a windy town. Its one of the windiest islands in the Mediterranean.
We have a sea day tomorrow before our next port in Naples Italy.

So the highlight of our second day in Istanbul was Turkish bath house. We had a 30 minute foam bath and scrub, 60 minute massage, 2 saunas, and a face mask. It was super cool. Not a place to be shy though. 🫣
Some of the other pics are just of random stuff in the city that we found funny or bizarre.
We are now off to Mykonos, Greece. Bon Voyage.

So here are some things i learned about Istanbul Turkey. It is a very modern city with a deep heritage. The people are friendly and speak some English. Men are the servers in restaurants, and work in all the small shops. There are women around but they must work in the back or are the cooks. The roads are narrow and chaotic. A train missed Kim by 2 inches (i credit myself for saving her life), she almost got run over by a taxi, and i got hit by a guy on a scooter. All in one afternoon. We are good tho - no injuries to report.
There are lots of cats, but never saw a dog. Street food was chestnuts, corn on the cob and kebab.
Today we have another day in Istanbul - so lets see what kind of schenanigans we can get into today. 😎😂

Just into Day 4 on our Mediterranean cruise. We visted Santorini Greece today and fell in love. Such a cool place and the Greek people are so friendly. Happy days!

My beautiful wife has never been to this part of the world, and for me I haven’t been since the early 90’s. We are spending 3 nights in Rome before jumping on the ship for an 11 night cruise which makes 6 stops including the Greek Islands, Turkey, and then back to Italy.
Super excited….bon voyage!
