Luxx Life Canada Real Estate Group is excited to welcome Sandi to our Vancouver Island real estate team!
Meet Sandra “Sandi” Poystila
Sandra brings a multi-decade career in British Columbia to her new chapter in real estate — one built on entrepreneurial media publishing, graphic design, healthcare, and office administration, with a specialty in community-driven marketing and outreach. As creator and publisher of The Islands Marketplace Magazine, she spent 20 years supporting local non-profits and community groups through free advertising, event promotion, and volunteering, and she remains active in regional civic life as a member of Branch 92 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Sandra grew up in Campbell River, exploring Strathcona Park and the surrounding lakes, rivers, and islands. After graduating from Carihi, she completed the Office Administration Program at North Island College, earning a certificate in administration and bookkeeping — and she still returns to Campbell River regularly to visit close friends from those years. She later studied classical animation in Burnaby while working with the Business in Vancouver Media Group, before settling on Salt Spring Island to raise her two children. As a mother and homeowner, she understands firsthand how much the right home and the right location matter to a family.
An avid outdoorswoman with an eye for design, Sandra loves west coast architecture and landscaping, and spends her free time writing, drawing, painting, downhill skiing, sailing the Gulf Islands, hiking, and exploring Vancouver Island, Mexico, and the USA. She’s currently restoring a 1991 GMC Vandura van for more BC road trips ahead.
Now, with both her kids grown, Sandra is excited to realize a long-held goal: adding “Realtor” to her résumé. She’s looking forward to helping buyers and sellers find their next chapter, guided by the same professionalism, loyalty, and commitment that defined her first career — because for Sandra, real estate has always been about the people and the relationships built along the way.
