For the last 30 days or so tenants of a building in Montreal were suffering from rattling noises in walls due to water pipes waking them up at 1AM, 3:38AM or whenever someone will flush a toilet or open the hot water faucet. I was called to trouble shoot this situation last night and here is what caused the 30 day nightmare. The hot water cartridge of the shower faucet. Keep in mind that it's a 6 plex with the hot water tank in the basement and the rattling is in the second floor.
