Are you interested in learning more about cohousing communities and how they can support a robust and resilient lifestyle? Cohousing Open House Day on May 6th was made for you.

As a proud supporter of the broader family of cohousing communities, Amisto Cohousing Society is excited to share that Driftwood Village Cohousing and Quayside Village Cohousing in North Vancouver are offering tours on this special day. This is your chance to see firsthand how the built and social aspects of cohousing combine to create a unique and thriving community. https://www.amisto.ca/r/XTK

Visiting a cohousing community in person can often inspire the desire to become a resident yourself. Fortunately, you don't have to wait on long interest lists to make that dream a reality. Consider joining an emerging community like East Van Cohousing and Lost Lake Cohousing, who are well into the process of development with expected move-in dates in 2026 and 2025, respectively.

But that's not all - we have several other cohousing community groups at are beginning to form in Duncan/Chemainus on Vancouver Island as well as Squamish and Coquitlam. Our growing effort means we are looking for new members, and we would love to talk with you about joining one of our communities.

A great step to learn more about cohousing is to attend our free Zoom All About Cohousing information sessions. These sessions cover everything you need to know about cohousing and are available for registration at www.amisto.ca/event.

Take a tour on May 6th and discover what makes cohousing communities so special, and then reach out to us.

Inspired by Jaime Black-Morsetteโ€™s REDress Project, Red Dress Day was first commemorated in May 5, 2010. The day is used to pay respect to the victims, raise awareness of the crisis and call on governments to take action to address the racialized and gendered violence inflicted on Indigenous peoples in Canada.

The red dresses act as a visual reminder and honours all of the missing & murdered Indigenous women, girls, and Two-Spirit people. ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒฟ REDress Project, Red Dress Day was first commemorated in 2010.
