In 2024 I had a lot of clients moving to Edmonton from Ontario or B.C. and it's not a surprise at all. Cost of homes is significantly lower however this has increased the amount of buyers and it hasn't increased the number of sellers so we are seeing a shortage of homes on the market. This leads to a seller's market where homes go into multiple offers and sell quickly. Hardest part is it's a great time to sell but usually you need to buy if you are selling and that can be challenging.
