It landed on schedule for the same reason the rest of the timeline should. Most of each home is built off-site in a controlled environment, which takes weather and trade availability largely out of the equation.

Ski-in access gets used loosely enough that it is worth defining.

Most homes handle heating and cooling with two separate systems. Two things to service. Two things that eventually need replacing.

Currie Creek handles both with one.

The homes use a dual-fuel heating system with air source heat pumps, designed to provide efficient heating through Fernie's changing seasonal temperatures, with added backup support for colder conditions.

The same heat pumps provide air-conditioned cooling in summer. No second system, no extra equipment sitting outside.

The limit here is structural. Currie Creek is 40 homes across five phases of eight, released in sequence, so there is no larger Phase 1 waiting behind this one.

A window is the easiest place for a mountain home to leak.

Late September is when Fernie gets quiet again.

The larches turn gold. The trails are mostly empty. Snow shows up on the peaks while the valley is still warm enough to ride in.
