The number of detached homes available for sale has risen steadily for five straight months, and there are now 200 more homes listed on the Sunshine Coast than there were at the start of the year. Detached sales were down when compared both to the previous month, and to May of last year. More inventory plus fewer sales means it’s a prime market for buyers. 🏡

May saw the most balanced month so far this year for sales geographically, as sales were more spread out across the coast. 👣

As of May 1st, here is the benchmark price for a detached home in each of these areas:

Roberts Creek $924,200

Halfmoon Bay/Secret Cove/Redrooffs $850,400

Gibsons & Area $843,100

Sechelt $791,500

Pender Harbour / Egmont $745,100

Not tracked specifically, are sought-after communities like Langdale, Davis Bay, Madeira Park and Garden Bay, which have their own nuanced pricing.

As for an average, the Benchmark price for a detached home across the Sunshine Coast is $820,700.
