Make sure to check the furnace and water heater vents at home and at work. If the snow is blocking them it could lead to issues or even worse potential carbon monoxide poisoning!

Today, December 1st, 2023 marks the beginning of new Legislation and Rules for Real Estate in Ontario. Practices formerly regulated by REBBA are replaced by TRESA (Trust in Real Estate Services Act).
This Act has many nuances designed to create more options for consumers, protect the public, and has changes with new options for the bidding processes. (The simplest explanation I can offer with such a big shift)
My Brokerage was one of the few to break down the act and offer training for this new era. Many Brokerages and Registrants do not yet have a handle on this.

The City of Barrie will certainly be looking to the Province of Ontario soon to annex more land from surrounding Townships including Springwater, Innisfil, and Oro-Medonte. There were emails asking for signatures to a petion letter recognizing the shortage of Industrial and Employment lands available in Barrie. They have essentially dried up quite some time ago. This is a trend in general in Canada. I've attached a link from the Globe and Mail about this issue.
