Hodder Construction has been in business for 40 years and we are looking to expand our team.
We are currently seeking an experienced mechanic familiar with all types of engines – automotive; heavy duty machines -backhoes and excavators; small machines – packers, jumping jacks, just to name a few. Welding experience would be an asset, along with some knowledge of the construction trade.
Main duties, but not limited to, are as follows,
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems
• Repair or replace parts, including fuel, brake, steering and suspension, hydraulics, transmissions, engines, electrical, cooling and climate control systems by using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment.
• Test repaired systems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service such as oil changes, lubrications, tune-ups and tire changes.
• Follow safety procedures
Requirements
• Completion of a post-secondary course in automotive mechanics
• 6 years relevant experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized and motivated with a “fix-it right the first time” attitude
• Reliable, honest and ethical
• Valid BC Driver’s License
