B.C. Home Market Shows Signs of Gradual Recovery in August
August brought another dip in B.C. home sales, with numbers down 4.7% year-over-year to 5,653 and average prices just shy of $925,000. While we’re seeing movement toward recovery, activity still trails the province’s long-term averages. Notably, Okanagan sales dropped 22%, while South Peace River saw a strong gain of almost 35%. Working with clients from Penticton to Vernon, I keep a close eye on these shifts—especially as they affect those looking to buy or sell residential properties and investment opportunities. Understanding these trends helps my clients make informed decisions, whether it’s your family home or a strategic real estate investment.
